The Challenge
Mandatory training on data security, fire safety, and more used to be a huge time sink for VfL, with completion rates that left much to be desired.
One reason: At a football club, people work in many different departments and locations, taking on a wide range of roles – coaches, players, support staff, office workers, retail staff, sales teams, and more.
There was no central hub that could simplify both access to training and the organization of these mandatory sessions.

The Solution
Introducing Masterplan meant that face-to-face, time- and location-bound sessions were no longer necessary. Customized learning paths made it quick and easy to digitize a wide range of mandatory training.
Regulatory requirements such as data privacy, fire safety, and occupational safety can now be completed on laptops or smartphones – whether you're in the office, on the training pitch, or at the stadium.
Reusable learning paths can be assigned to the right people with just a few clicks, and each completion is automatically recorded. This reduces the annual organizational effort.
And that's not all: the e-learning platform enables every employee to pursue their own personal development. VfL Bochum 1848 encourages this with regular course recommendations and the bi-weekly Masterplan Monday.
